Product Overview

Durham tube, also called fermentation gas collection tube, is a classic lab glass consumable specially used for microbial fermentation identification test. It is placed inverted in broth culture medium tube; gas generated by microbial metabolism will gather at the top of the inverted Durham tube, so technicians can directly observe and judge whether bacteria produce gas during sugar fermentation.

Made of low-expansion 3.3 borosilicate glass, uniform thin wall ensures fast heat transfer, transparent body without impurities for clear observation of gas bubbles. All tubes adopt one-time high-temperature forming, smooth polished mouth edge without burrs, safe for repeated cleaning and autoclave sterilization.
